Greenwood Energy’s two primary operating sectors consist of the manufacturing of renewable fuel pellets as well as investing in green power generation.
Our fuel product is specifically designed to replicate the handling, storage and burning characteristics of coal but with less harmful emissions. Thus, the fuel is used with existing infrastructure without significant modifications to boilers, eliminating substantial capital expense associated with other traditional renewable fuels or conversion to natural gas. Our fuel pellets are produced through a carefully engineered process that re-purposes a broad array of industrial waste otherwise destined for regional landfills. In the clean power generation area, Greenwood is investing in and evaluating a number of existing as well as development projects across the biomass, fuel cell, hydro and biogas spaces.
